Suzelle did it herself! There is a Suzelle DIY book for sale now and Suzelle chats to Naomi Meyer – as herself, of course.
Hi Suzelle and congratulations on your book. Is your name really Suzelle and your surname DIY ...?
My name really is Suzelle, but DIY stands for “Do It Yourself”, silly.
What gave you the idea for your YouTube videos in the first place?
I wanted to find a way to make new friends and help people unleash their creativity.
Your videos are funny, but they are also practical. How did you find out about all the do-it-yourself jobs you demonstrate?
I spend a lot of time doing research on the Google and on Pinterest. I also like to use my own creativity.
Which of your videos are your own personal favourites?
My favourite video is "How To Peel A Lot Of Apples In No Time At All".
How do you create a book along the same lines as something happening on social media? Is this the idea (to do something similar to the videos)?
I was quite a challenge, but I really wanted to put some of my ideas into writing so that the book could be an extension of my creative Suzelle DIY brand.
Tim Noakes was on your show a while ago – anybody else you would like to make a guest appearance on your show?
I would love to have Beatenberg, Evita Bezuidenhout, Anne Hirsch, and Charlize Theron, of course.
I see you appear in advertisements as well. What is next ... Hollywood? Thank you for answering the questions, and best wishes!
My big dream is to make a movie one day. I don't know about Hollywood, but Ster Kinekor here I come!
