On 12 September 2020, during lockdown, OOOTH launched their full Who cares what you think – Acoustic album online and at the same time Jason Oosthuizen decided to take on another play-it-forward initiative, this time to raise awareness for Gender Based Violence and Farm Murders in South Africa.
On the night they managed to raise just over a quarter million rand for these two causes, donating the money to SA Women Fight Back and a Farm Murders Organisation of the main donor's choice, which was such a humbling moment during a difficult time.
“The plan was always to release a DVD version of the live stream as it was such an amazing experience.” – Jason
Oooth has also released a live DVD of their debut electric album performed live at their album launch in 2018, so it is clear to say Oooth is covering all their basis in terms of content being available on various platforms and formats.
“What started out as a passion project is becoming so much more and I want to do as much as possible to push this band as far as it can go. Documenting the process along the way makes for great memories.” - Jason
The live acoustic launch was filmed by MGG, edited by Pulserusher Media and mixed by Foxglove Studios.
